Job Description
Youtap is delivering a large banking and finance project in Zimbabwe. The Software Support Engineer/s will work with Youtap's project team and global support and management teams to deliver all aspects of software support.
This will include management of the client through the entire solution delivery, as well as managing the client relationship post-implementation and provide ongoing support from requirements, development, documentation, and solution perspective.
This is a diverse role in a fast-paced forward-thinking environment with constant opportunities to grow, learn and expand your skill sets. Youtap's core software solutions are cloud-based and developed in a range of software development environments including Java / Spring Services and Oracle.
Requirements
Youtap is looking for applicants who are currently working in financial services, banking, or mobile money software development and support roles.
Responsibilities will include;
- Software deployment and customization (Java / Spring Services)
- Installing of software releases and patches
- Integration with 3rd party systems and APIs
- Reporting customization and development
- Monitor production systems and identify performance bottlenecks, make necessary adjustments and performance tuning as required
- Oracle database backups, tuning, and monitoring
- Create support tickets in Atlassian Jira as required for global software support and development
Experience
- Knowledge in J2EE including Spring Services development, testing, and release
- Knowledge of SOA principles and practices, and the ability to apply meaningfully to system integrations
- Strong understanding of OOP principles in Java
- Experience with Oracle BPEL, XML, XSLT, XSD
- Experience with agile working methodologies and test-driven development
- Familiarity with version control systems (GIT, SVN)

The role/s are full-time, work hours will vary based on the time zones and projects globally.
